White Patches on the skin? Tinea Versicolor explained.
Hi, my name is Anisa with NŪR Skincare and I wanted to talk about a very common skin fungus that children often contract in the summers that can be contracted through common shared spaces such as pools. My daughter had this skin condition this summer. She often gets it in the summers and usually it's pretty mild, so we can tackle it with just some tea tree oil in the bath. But this particular summer it was quite strong. It comes up as white patches on the skin that don't tan. And this particular summer it was pretty severe and I was a little concerned about it. So we took a little bit of a different approach. It was more of an inside out approach. So I wanna talk a little bit about that and how we cleared her tinea versicolor, which is what it's called. It's a common skin fungus.
So as you can see, this was how it started out in the beginning of the summer. You see these patchy white spots. These do not tan, so that's a good indication of realizing that the fungus is actually there. So I'm gonna show you what we did and how we tackled this from the inside out. So this is a fungus that's very, very difficult to get rid of.
So these are three tinctures that I purchased from BIORAY. These are kids tinctures, so they actually taste really good. Kids love them. This one is happy, calm and tummy. They focus on, because the tinea is a fungus, we focused on trying to clear her body of parasites. And many of these herbs inside here are wormwood and black walnut hull, you can see. So they really tackle parasites and then help to cleanse the liver and also restore the gut with healthy probiotics.
And for the outside we used this tinea ointment, which also has the active ingredient is also wormwood, so it tackles it as a parasitic fungus. So I'll show you some pictures of her about three days after and then three weeks after, and you can see that most of the fungus is gone.
So this is her three days after she started taking the tincture and started applying the ointment. And as you can see, the patches have already started to tan.
And this is her final image of three weeks later where you can see that most of the fungus is gone because you can see that a lot of this area is now starting to tan.
So as you can see, a holistic approach worked really well for clearing out this tinea versus color, which is the common fungus that, again, most children contract through public spaces. We were able to basically clear out the parasitic infection and restore her gut by really supporting her liver and restore her gut with probiotics to really help support her body's own healing mechanisms.
